Engaging virtual learning and connection circles help students boost their confidence, communication, empathy, social-emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and literacy skills, all while having fun and making new friends from around the country. Our book-centered, small group classes are led by certified teachers with more than 20 years of experience creating joyful, transformative learning communities where children grow and realize more of their potential.
4th-5th Grade Circle
Step into the world of Wishtree, a heartwarming and powerful novel by Katherine Applegate that explores themes of kindness, inclusion, and the quiet strength of community. This story reminds us how even the smallest voices—and wishes—can make a big difference.
We’ll reflect on the story, using it as a springboard for meaningful conversations, creative expression, and friendship-building activities. Through art, journaling, storytelling, and group discussion, participants will explore what it means to be a good neighbor, a brave friend, and a keeper of hope. All readers welcome!
6th-7th Grade Circle
Join us for an imaginative and heartfelt reading journey through The Last Cuentista, a gripping sci-fi novel that celebrates the power of storytelling, memory, and resilience. In this circle, readers will explore what it means to carry stories, culture, and truth—even when the world forgets.
Each session blends literary exploration with reflective dialogue, creative expression, and community-building activities. Participants will dive into themes like identity, courage, family, and the importance of stories. Through discussion, journaling, and projects, youth will connect deeply with the text and with each other. Whether you're a budding writer, curious reader, or love a good adventure, this circle is a welcoming space to explore big questions & dream boldly.
